O Vitória de Guimarães entra em campo sem a dupla defensiva Miguel Maga e Bruno Gaspar, ambos a recuperar de lesões.

André Silva falhou os últimos cinco jogos devido a uma lesão sofrida no jogo de Agosto frente ao Estoril Praia, a 14 de Agosto, enquanto Tomas Handel, de 21 anos, também continuou a sua passagem à margem.

Silva, que completou uma transferência de verão do Beijing Guoan, da Superliga chinesa, marcou em seus dois últimos jogos e o atacante brasileiro deve liderar o ataque do Vitória mais uma vez.

O Benfica, por outro lado, não poderá recorrer aos serviços do defesa Tomas Tavares, de 21 anos, que está afastado dos relvados desde maio devido a uma lesão no joelho.

O trio brasileiro do Benfica, formado por João Victor, Lucas Veríssimo e Felipe Morato, também não participará do confronto deste fim de semana, pois todos continuam seus períodos à margem.

Depois de um excelente desempenho de ataque contra o Marítimo, esperamos que Schmidt nomeie um quarteto de ataque inalterado de Neres, Silva, João Mário e Ramos, que marcou quatro gols em seis jogos.

O Vitória de Guimarães apresentou uma exibição de equipa resiliente na sua mais recente partida, quando recuperou duas vezes de desvantagem para salvar um empate 2-2 com o Arouca no Estádio Municipal de Arouca há dois domingos.

Mateus Quaresma e André Bukia marcaram o golo do empate de Anderson Silva aos 57 minutos para colocar os arouquenses na frente, mas Ruben Lameiras converteu a sua grande penalidade aos 12 minutos dos acréscimos para forçar uma parte dos despojos.

Os Vimaranenses chegam ao fim de semana invictos em todos os seus últimos nove jogos, exceto um, em todas as competições, conquistando sete vitórias e um empate – com uma derrota por 1 a 0 para a Casa Pia em 29 de setembro sendo a única exceção.

Com 10 pontos nos sete primeiros jogos, os homens de João Miguel Teixeira estão atualmente em nono na classificação da Primeira Liga, empatados em pontos com o Sporting Lisboa, oitavo colocado.

O Benfica, por outro lado, manteve seu início perfeito para a nova campanha ao derrotar o Marítimo por 5 a 0 quando os times se enfrentaram em Lisboa em 19 de setembro.

Golos de Rafa Silva, David Neres, da contratação de Verão de Julian Draxler e de dois golos de Gonçalo Ramos, de 21 anos, condenaram O Maior das Ilhas à sétima derrota em sete jogos esta época.

Isso ocorreu após uma vitória por 2 a 1 sobre a perene campeã italiana Juventus em 14 de setembro no Grupo H da Liga dos Campeões, onde atualmente estão empatados em seis pontos com o primeiro colocado Paris Saint-Germain após duas rodadas.
