Maceió, AL, 10 (AFI) – O atacante Osvaldo, um dos mais experientes do elenco do Vitória, tentou explicar o que aconteceu na goleada sofrida contra o CRB. Líder da Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro, o Leão da Barra foi atropelado pelo Galo da Pajuçara neste domingo, por 6 a 0, a pior derrota da equipe na competição.

BUSCANDO SUPERAÇÃO

O jogador rubro-negro reconheceu a atuação ruim, apresentada fora de casa, frente aos regatianos. Mesmo considerando “difícil” de justificar o desempenho abaixo das expectativas, Osvaldo pediu desculpas à torcida — que se deslocou em bom número até Maceió — e projetou superação das falhas durante a semana de preparação.

“Sempre difícil (de explicar). É trabalhar bem essa semana. Quero pedir desculpas ao torcedor que criou expectativa, pois não foi o Vitória que o torcedor costuma ver. É trabalhar durante essa semana para dar a volta por cima dentro de casa, diante do Avaí”, assegurou o ponta leonino ao SporTV logo após o apito final do confronto.

Osvaldo, assim como os baianos, agora voltam a campo apenas no próximo final de semana. No domingo (17), às 18h, o time da Boa Terra terá pela frente o Avaí, que está abrindo a zona de rebaixamento, ocupando a 17ª posição; duelo será disputado no Barradão, diante dos torcedores.

A última vez que o Vitória havia sofrido seis gols em uma única partida também foi pela Segundona, mas de 16 anos atrás. Na ocasião, comandado por Givanildo Oliveira, o clube — que hoje tem Osvaldo — teve o Brasiliense como algoz; curiosamente, o acesso à elite foi conquistado com duas rodadas de antecedência.
