Extremamente experiente, o arqueiro formado nas categorias de base do Bahia passou por diversos clubes do interior brasileiro, além de jogar no Bahia de Feira-BA, União Barbarense-SP, Campinense-PB, Real Noroeste-ES, Velo Clube-SP, e Princesa-AM, onde trabalhou com o atual técnico do Gavião do Norte, Aderbal Lana.

Treinador e goleiro defenderam juntos o Princesa do Solimões no ano de 2023, onde Waldson jogou 26 vezes e sofreu 24 gols, entre as disputas da Copa Verde, Amazonense, Série D do Campeonato Brasileiro e Copa do Brasil.
Além de Waldson, o elenco manauara até o momento também contém outros cinco atletas, sendo eles os goleiros Vinícius Fávero e Holliwer, o lateral Dieyson, o meio-campista Gharib e o atacante Levy.
Desta vez, o único torneio que não está no calendário do Gavião do Norte para 2024 é a Copa do Brasil, já que não terminou finalista durante o campeonato estadual.
