Manchester United não conta com o retorno de Casemiro até o Natal

São Paulo, SP, 07 – O volante Casemiro dificilmente vai jogar pelo Manchester United antes do Natal. A afirmação foi do técnico Erik ten Hag, nesta quarta-feira, em entrevista coletiva, na véspera do jogo com o Copenhague, na capital dinamarquesa, marcado para esta quarta-feira, pela Liga dos Campeões.

O treinador disse que o jogador brasileiro e o argentino Lisandro Martínez sofreram “lesões muito graves”. “Não espero que voltem antes do Natal”, disse o técnico. O United terá de disputar dez jogos nas diversas competições entre quarta-feira e o fim de dezembro. “Temos alguns cronogramas, mas é sempre difícil prever”, disse Ten Hag sobre os tempos de recuperação. “Sempre pode haver contratempos durante o período de reabilitação.”

Casemiro sofreu uma lesão muscular na coxa durante a derrota para o Newcastle, por 3 a 0, quarta-feira passada, pela Copa da Liga Inglesa. Por isso, o jogador não foi convocado nesta segunda-feira pelo técnico Fernando Diniz para compor a seleção brasileira nos dois próximos jogos das Eliminatórias Sul-Americanas para a Copa do Mundo de 2026.

A partida contra o Newcastle foi a volta de Casemiro aos gramados depois de ficar de fora das três últimas partidas por causa de uma pancada no tornozelo.

TEMPORADA

Nesta temporada, Casemiro, de 31 anos, atuou em 12 jogos, marcou quatro gols e fez uma assistência pelo Manchester United.
