Florianópolis, SC, 10 (AFI) – Na noite desta quinta-feira (09), foi realizado o Conselho Técnico do Campeonato Catarinense de 2024, na sede da Federação Catarinense de Futebol (FCF), em Florianópolis, com a presença de representantes das 12 equipes participantes. O presidente José Tadeu da Cruz foi quem representou o Figueirense.
Foi definido que o formato do estadual continuará o mesmo de 2023. A primeira fase será de turno único, com os oito primeiros colocados avançando para as quartas de final. Já os dois últimos da primeira fase serão rebaixados para a Série B de 2025. No mata-mata, jogos de ida e volta, onde caso haja empate no placar agregado, a decisão será nos pênaltis. O mandatário alvinegro aprovou a manutenção da forma de disputa.
“É um formato que vem dando certo nos últimos anos e não tem como mexer. Vamos tentar fazer um estadual melhor na próxima temporada, voltando a brigar pelo título. Vamos tentar reforçar nosso Figueirense da melhor forma possível, dentro e fora das quatro linhas”, disse.
Além do Figueirense, disputarão a Série A do Campeonato Catarinense de 2024 as equipes do Avaí, Barra, Brusque, Chapecoense, Concórdia, Criciúma, Hercílio Luz, Internacional de Lages, Joinville, Marcílio Dias e Nação. A competição irá começar em 20 de janeiro e está prevista para terminar em 07 de abril.
A FCF confirmou que os dois finalistas garantirão as suas vagas na Copa do Brasil de 2025. E, os três primeiros colocados que não estiverem nas Séries A, B e C do Brasileiro, garantem vaga na Série D nacional em 2025.
