Diadema, SP, 09 (AFI) – Próximo de abrir a temporada de 2024 com a estreia no Campeonato Paulista, o Água Santa se reforçou nesta terça-feira (09) com mais um medalhão, desta vez o atacante Jael, de 35 anos, apelidado de ‘O Cruel’.
O atleta chega para ser o novo centroavante do Netuno, onde exercerá a função do ‘Camisa 9’, ou seja, o atacante centralizado, assim como Bruno Mezenga, que participou do vice-campeonato em 2023 e retornou a Diadema depois de ser emprestado ao Santos no restante da temporada.
ÁGUA SANTA ANUNCIA JAEL
Jael vestiu a camisa do Náutico-PE nesta temporada, com sete gols em 25 jogos, atuando ainda seis vezes no Avaí após o fim da temporada para o Timbu. Formado por Cuiabá, Fluminense e Criciúma, o atacante tem passagem também por Atlético-MG, Goiás, Bahia, Portuguesa, Flamengo, Sport, São Caetano, Joinville, Ceará e Grêmio, onde foi campeão da Libertadores em 2017.
Depois de perder para o Palmeiras na final do Paulistão de 2023, o Água Santa terá de volta diversos atletas que estiveram emprestados para outros clubes durante a temporada, já que o Netuno não teve calendário nacional. No entanto, o técnico Thiago Carpini, um dos nomes mais fortes do grupo, seguirá comandando o Juventude nesta temporada.
Agora liderado pelo técnico Bruno Pivetti, ex-Chapecoense, Guarani e Náutico em 2023, o time de Diadema volta a disputar a elite do estado, com estreia marcada para o dia 20 de janeiro, no Nabi Abi Chedid, em Bragança Paulista, às 17h15, diante do Red Bull Bragantino.
