Rio de Janeiro, RJ, 18, (AFI) – Novidade na área. Filipe Luís, recém-aposentado e multicampeão pelo Flamengo, é o novo treinador da categoria sub-17 do clube. O anúncio foi feito nas redes sociais do Mais Querido nesta quinta-feira (18). Ele inicia as atividades na função já no próximo dia 22 de janeiro.
Recentemente, Filipe recusou convite feito pelo presidente da CBF (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol), Ednaldo Rodrigues, para ser coordenador técnico da entidade. O mesmo se disse “extremamente honrado” por ser lembrado, mas o acordo acabou não vingando.
No ano passado, Filipe Luís concluiu a Licença B da CBF Academy, tornando-se apto a treinar equipes de categorias de base. Atualmente, ele vem realizando todos os cursos para tirar as licenças necessárias para comandar equipes profissionais.
Dentro de campo, o ex-jogador teve uma carreira brilhante. Jogou, além do Rubro-Negro, por europeus considerados grandes, como Atlético de Madrid e Chelsea. Passou pela seleção brasileira e levantou diversos canecos. Pelo Fla, sagrou-se campeão dos seguintes campeonatos: Libertadores e Brasileiro (duas vezes cada), Copa do Brasil, Recopa Sul-Americana, além Supercopa do Brasil, sendo esta também em duas oportunidades.

O Flamengo vai atuar duas vezes no próximo domingo (21). Pela FC Series, antiga Florida Cup, os titulares irão encarar o Philadelphia Union-EUA, nos Estados Unidos, às 16h. Mais tarde, às 18h10, o time enfrenta o Nova Iguaçu, pelo Cariocão, com os reservas, no Estádio Almeidão, em João Pessoa (PB).
