São Paulo, SP , 11 (AFI) – A seleção brasileira feminina de futebol fez um jogo equilibrado com os Estados Unidos, mas perdeu, por 1 a 0, a decisão da Copa Ouro da Conmebol, neste domingo à noite, em San Diego. Em seis jogos disputados na competição, o Brasil, sob comando do técnico Arthur Elias – que disputou sua primeira competição -, venceu cinco vezes, com 15 gols marcados e apenas dois sofridos.
A seleção brasileira surpreendeu as americanas com forte marcação na saída de bola. Em uma das roubadas de bola, logo aos cinco minutos, Antonia arriscou da intermediária e levou perigo à meta de Naeher. Aos dez, Duda Sampaio bateu falta com tanto perigo que Arthur Elias chegou a festejar.
O Brasil não diminuiu a intensidade na marcação e em nova roubada de bola Gabi Nunes acertou belo chute e errou por pouco. Aos 21, Gabi Portilho chutou colocado e quase abriu o placar.
Os Estados Unidos só foram incomodar o gol de Luciana nos minutos finais do primeiro tempo. Aos 39, Lindsey Horan cabeceou após escanteio, mas a goleira brasileira defendeu. Aos 45, não teve jeito. Horam subiu muito para enfiar a cabeça na bola e abrir o placar para os EUA.
Apesar da vantagem no placar, os Estados Unidos voltaram imprimindo forte marcação na saída de bola do Brasil, que demorou dez minutos para se reorganizar. Aos poucos o time nacional passou a explorar as laterais e conseguiu desafogar a defesa.
Os Estados Unidos se fecharam com todas as suas jogadoras em seu campo na espera de conseguir armar um contra-ataque para definir a vitória.
As duas equipes demonstraram nervosismo nos minutos finais. Foram vários os erros de passes e posicionamentos. Aos 33 minutos, o Brasil errou na saída de bola e Lynn Williams chegou a marcar o segundo gol americano, mas a atacante estava em posição de impedimento.
Na base do entusiasmo, o Brasil pressionou e quase conseguiu o empate, aos 39 minutos. Debinha que entrou no segundo tempo, cobrou falta da esquerda e Geyse desviou com grande perigo. Aos 45, Devinha bateu falta para fora. O Brasil tentou até o final, mas não conseguiu o empate para levar o jogo pelo menos para a prorrogação.
