Porto Alegre, RS, 18 (AFI) – O cronista esportivo Marco Antônio Pereira, de 67 anos, morreu neste domingo em Novo Hamburgo (RS). Marco Antônio era conhecido como um dos principais narradores esportivos do Brasil e faleceu em razão de problemas cardíacos.
Nascido no dia dez de outubro de 1956, Marco Antônio era dono de uma narração vibrante e precisa. Começou atuando na imprensa esportiva através do rádio do interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Talentoso, em 1991 chegou para atuar na Rádio Gaúcha, principal emissora do estado.
MAIS DE 20 ANOS NA RÁDIO GAÚCHA
Depois de mais de 20 anos narrando futebol na Rádio Gaúcho, Marco Antônio Pereira passou pelas rádios Guaíba, Bandeirantes de Porto Alegre e teve um curto período na Rádio Grenal.
Nos últimos anos, Marco Antônio vinha desenvolvendo outros projetos, participando de transmissões de televisão e de programas esportivos na internet.

Liderança na categoria, Marco Antônio Pereira foi presidente da Associação dos Cronistas Esportivos Gaúchos (ACEG).
