Campinas, SP, 25, (AFI) – O Atlético de Madrid resolveu eternizar a passagem do capitão Koke pelo clube. Jogador que mais vestiu a camisa colchonera na história, o meio-campista renovou nesta segunda-feira por mais um ano. O novo acordo, porém, prevê renovação automática todo ano, enquanto ele estiver atuando no futebol.
“Jorge Resurrección, o Koke, continuará defendendo as cores do Atlético de Madrid na próxima temporada. O nosso capitão, com contrato terminando no dia 30 de junho, chegou a um acordo com o clube que contempla uma renovação anual no final de cada temporada”, anunciou o clube, que fez um vídeo de sete minutos engrandecendo as virtudes do jogador.
“Nosso capitão representa perfeitamente tudo o que uma criança do Atleti quer ser quando crescer. Koke é luta, esforço, sacrifício, solidariedade… Koke é coragem e coração”, descreveu o clube, satisfeito por ampliar o vínculo, que terminaria ao fim da temporada, “para sempre.”.
Koke é o jogador que mais defendeu as cores do Atlético de Madrid na história, com 626 jogos disputados. O menino nascido no dia 8 de janeiro de 1992 em Vallecas sempre foi torcedor da equipe e está no clube desde os seis anos. “Passou por etapas até se tornar uma lenda indiscutível do nosso clube. Hoje, aos 32 anos, Jorge Resurrección Merodio é o jogador que mais vezes defendeu a equipe em jogos oficiais”, reforçou o clube.
A estreia foi com a camisa 26 às costas, em setembro de 2009. O primeiro gol foi diante do Sevilla. “A sua história não se limita apenas a um número que poucos jogadores de futebol alcançam, e ainda mais no mesmo clube. É também um dos jogadores de maior sucesso. Conquistou oito títulos nos 15 anos em que, até hoje, defendeu as cores da nossa camisa: duas Ligas, uma Taça do Rei, duas Ligas Europa, duas Supertaças Europeias e uma Supertaça de Espanha.
