O dia começou com informações dando conta de que Vítor Pereira negocia sua contratação no clube da Gávea. No final da noite, veio à tona que Dorival Júnior não será o técnico do Fla na próxima temporada, pois ficou incomodado com o golpe sofrido e pediu para sair.
Assim que a progressão da informação foi ganhando as redes sociais, a torcida o Gigante da Colina foi abordando o assunto e logo, Dorival Júnior foi pedido por muitos torcedores Cruz-Maltinos. O Vasco está sem técnico e muitos acreditam que Dorival “Cairia como uma luva em São Januário. No entanto, a escolha é polêmica, pois outra parte da torcida não quer ver o retorno do treinador ao Vascão.
Dorival Júnior foi técnico do Vasco em duas passagens. Em sua primeira jornada pelo Legítimo Clube do Povo aconteceu em 2009 e, sob o comando do treinador, o Vasco conquistou o título do Campeonato Brasileiro da Série B. Dorival voltou a ser técnico em São Januário em 2013.
O Gigante da Colina terá um grande investimento da 777 Partners no elenco para a próxima temporada, dessa forma, neste período de fim de ano e época de Copa do Mundo, a diretoria não parou de trabalhar de olho em montar um time competitivo para 2023.
