Ribeirão Preto, sp, 28 (AFI) – O ABC chegou a dez jogos sem saber o que é vencer ao ficar no empate sem gols com o Botafogo nesta segunda-feira, no estádio Santa Cruz, pela 25ª rodada da Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro. O time potiguar até chegou a marcar, mas o gol de Maycon Douglas acabou sendo anulado pela arbitragem.

Com o resultado, o ABC continua na lanterna, com apenas 15 pontos, 11 atrás da Chapecoense, o primeiro clube fora da zona de rebaixamento. O Botafogo é o 12º, com 34, e conheceu o seu sexto tropeço consecutivo.

DEU SONO

Botafogo e ABC fizeram um primeiro tempo morno, com poucas oportunidades de gol. O time paulista começou melhor e por muito pouco não abriu o placar. Aos 14 minutos, Pedro Rodrigues cruzou na cabeça de Márcio Silva, que mandou no travessão.

O ABC foi crescendo com o passar do tempo e chegou a ter mais posse de bola do que o adversário. A superioridade quase transformou em gol aos 41 minutos. Romário arriscou de fora da área e carimbou o travessão.

O panorama não mudou no segundo tempo. Os times continuaram com dificuldade na criação e pouco ameaçaram. As melhores chances aconteceram apenas no final. Aos 32, Ivonei pegou a sobra e exigiu grande defesa do goleiro Michael, que salvou o ABC.

O time potiguar respondeu aos 41 minutos, no último bom lance da partida. Maycon Douglas foi acionado na esquerda e tocou por cobertura para o gol, mas a arbitragem assinalou impedimento, anulou o lance e decretou a igualdade.
