Campinas, SP, 06 – Uma confusão envolvendo jogadores e torcedores do Legia Warsaw, da Polônia, causou a prisão de dois jogadores do time a quinta-feira, após partida contra o AZ Alkmaar, na Holanda, pela Liga Conferência, e iniciou uma crise diplomática entre autoridades polonesas e holandesas.
Ao fim da vitória do time holandês por 1 a 0, na cidade de Alkmaar, o português Josué e o sérvio Radovan Pankov foram retirados do ônibus da equipe polonesa pela polícia local. E foram detidos enquanto os demais jogadores do Legia Warsaw voltaram para Varsóvia, capital polonesa.
A polícia local não explicou as causas da contenda entre os jogadores e os policiais. Houve ainda confusão com parte da torcida visitante. De acordo com a polícia holandesa, os torcedores e o clube poloneses não respeitaram suposto acordo prévio de que não haveria presença de fãs do time visitante na partida disputada em Alkmaar.
Nesta sexta, o primeiro-ministro da Polônia, Mateusz Morawiecki, e demais autoridades polonesas cobraram explicações pela prisão dos jogadores do time do país. Em campanha para eleições marcadas para o dia 15 deste mês, o político afirmou que incumbiu diplomatas para investigar o caso.
“Jogadores e torcedores poloneses devem ser tratadas de acordo com a lei. Não concordamos com a violação das leis”, disse o primeiro-ministro, pelas redes sociais. O secretário-geral da Federação Polonesa de Futebol, Lukasz Wachowski, afirmou que também cobrou explicações da federação holandesa e também da Uefa, responsável por organizar a Liga Conferência, terceira competição entre clubes mais importante do continente, atrás da Liga dos Campeões e da Liga Europa.
De acordo com a imprensa local, torcedores do Legia entraram em confronto com seguranças do estádio e com policiais nos portões de entrada do local. Um policial desmaiou. Outros fãs do time visitante tomaram cassetetes e gás de pimenta da própria polícia. Alguns entraram no estádio sem ingressos. Ao fim da partida, a polícia fechou alguns portões de saída, gerando novos confrontos.
