Santos, SP, 19 (AFI) – O Red Bull Bragantino não é vice-líder do Brasileirão por acaso. Nesta quinta-feira, frio e objetivo, o time de Pedro Caixinha acabou com a euforia do Santos com vitória imponente de 3 a 1. O resultado acabou com a série invicta de três jogos de Marcelo Fernandes no comando do time e deixou a equipe na zona de rebaixamento em noite onde a falta de pontaria custou caro.

O Santos desperdiçou muitas chances de gol, parou na trave e em gigantes defesas de Cleiton e lamentou desperdiçar pontos que podem fazer falta no fim da competição por falta de competência na hora de colocar a bola nas redes. Ex-jogador santista, Eduardo Sasha anotou duas vezes e irritou bastante os torcedores locais. O gol de honra foi contra, de Léo Ortiz, mas a arbitragem deu para Furch.

Apesar de dormir na zona de rebaixamento pela 10ª rodada de 27 no Brasileirão, o Santos terá série de confrontos diretos para se reerguer. Visita o Inter, no domingo, depois recebe o Coritiba e vai à Neo Química Arena para o clássico com o Corinthians.

PRIMEIRO TEMPO

Com os resultados positivos dos concorrentes na luta contra a queda, o Santos entrou em campo na Vila Belmiro novamente dentro da zona de rebaixamento. Bastava um ponto, porém, para sair das temidas quatro últimas colocações. Com uma vitória, a equipe daria enorme salto na tabela.

Destaque na goleada sobre o Vasco na última partida na Vila Belmiro, o venezuelano Soteldo começou a partida entre os reservas após defender seu país nas Eliminatórias para a Copa do Mundo. Marcelo Fernandes também tinha o retorno de Mendoza, recuperado de lesão muscular.

Diante de um rival invicto há seis rodadas e de olho na segunda colocação, a ordem era partir para cima e abrir o placar logo. Com somente 38 segundos, Lucas Lima, de volta após cumprir suspensão no clássico com o Palmeiras, carimbou a trave e viu Marcos Leonardo cabecear por cima na sequência da jogada. A torcida que “abraçou o time” no pacto de salvá-lo da queda era um frisson só, cantando alto e incentivando o Santos a todo momento.

Acostumado a sufocar seus adversários e criar muitas chances de gol, o Red Bull Bragantino iniciou a partida acuado e sofrendo para passar do meio-campo. A pressão santista era gigante e com menos de cinco minutos, Silvera e Marcos Leonardo tiveram novas oportunidades para abrir o marcador – foram nove finalizações em oito minutos.

Mas o futebol não é justo. E no primeiro lance ofensivo, os visitantes abriram o marcador. Aderlan mandou uma bomba no travessão e Eduardo Sasha pegou o rebote para inaugurar o marcador. O atacante que brigou na Justiça contra os santistas para deixar o clube em 2020 recolocava sua equipe na segunda posição do Brasileirão.

Vitinho quase ampliou logo depois. João Paulo cresceu para salvar. O goleiro repetiu a dose em finalizações de Léo Ortiz e Sasha. Sair na frente deixou o Bragantino mais tranquilo em campo e a pressão santista já não era mais vista. Com gritos de “Santos é o time da virada”, a torcida tentava reanimar a equipe.

Dar espaços a um rival frio e bastante ofensivo acabou custando caro. Matheus Gonçalves recebeu lançamento preciso e saiu na cara de João Paulo, que acabou cometendo pênalti. O goleiro levou cartão amarelo e cumprirá suspenso na visita ao Internacional. Na cobrança, até bateu na bola batida por Sasha, mas ela parou nas redes.

O Santos poderia ter ido para o vestiário com ao menos um gol. Cleiton fez duas boas defesas e deu sorte quando Marcos Leonardo deixou dois defensores no chão e errou a batida. Mandou para fora o que seria um golaço na Vila Belmiro.

SEGUNDO TEMPO

Marcelo Fernandes mexeu bem na equipe para buscar uma rápida reação no começo da etapa final. Abriu mão do esquema com três zagueiros, lançou Mendoza, Soteldo e Nonato, mas viu os reservas do Bragantino aparecerem. Helinho tocou para trás e Eric Ramires ampliou logo no primeiro minuto.

O terceiro gol foi uma ducha fria nas pretensões dos santistas. Com a torcida já desanimada – reclamava muito da arbitragem e cantava com mais timidez – o time pouco ofereceu de perigo à meta de Cleiton. Em noite infeliz, Marcos Leonardo não conseguia acertar o alvo. Soteldo até tentava, mas os companheiros não concluíam bem suas jogadas ofensivas.

A reta final do jogo foi de consagração para Cleiton, que fez defesas de alto quilate em finalizações de Furch e Wesley Patati em noite no qual o santista certamente lamentará as tantas oportunidades desperdiçadas. O goleiro só não conseguiu segurar o desvio de Léo Ortiz contra as próprias redes. O gol, já no fim, acabou dado o atacante argentino, mas não interferiu na maiúscula vitória do Red Bull Bragantino.
