Santos, SP, 02 – O técnico Marcelo Fernandes deixou a euforia dentro do gramado do Mané Garrincha após a vitória de virada sobre o Flamengo, nesta quarta-feira, em Brasília. Na entrevista coletiva, o treinador santista tentou passa ruma imagem de controle emocional, sabedor que a situação contra o rebaixamento melhorou bastante após os três pontos conquistados. E agradeceu o apoio da torcida.

“A torcida, só temos de agradecer. Tomamos de sete e continuaram dando moral. Eles sabem quem está desse lado. Sabem a molecada. Não ganhamos absolutamente nada. Estamos na briga para sair dessa situação. Tem muita simplicidade, humildade, e nenhuma vaidade. Estão honrando a camisa do Santos como nunca. Só somos parceiros deles. Tentamos fazer as coisas mais breves e simples possíveis para sairmos dessa escalação”, disse o treinador.

Marcelo revelou o que foi dito aos jogadores. “Eu falei lá no vestiário. Nossa equipe só vai conseguir os resultados se tiver a intensidade que está tendo e competir o que está competindo. Se não competir e tiver intensidade, não vai ganhar. Foi assim contra o Inter. E o espelho para essa partida foi o jogo contra o Palmeiras. Sabíamos que íamos enfrentar uma grande equipe, ser pressionados, mas jogamos bem. Toda vez que mostraram intensidade e essa baita vontade, buscamos o resultado.”

Com a vitória no Distrito Federal, o Santos alcançou os 37 pontos, cinco à frente do Goiás, primeiro time na zona de rebaixamento, que ainda joga na rodada. Nesta quinta-feira, o time goiano recebe o Red Bull Bragantino.
