Campinas, SP, 22 (AFI) – Em um grande evento, realizado no auditório Oscar Niemeyer, no Parque Ibirapuera, em São Paulo, a Federação Paulista de Futebol (FPF) deu o pontapé inicial na Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior de 2024, a famosa Copinha, maior torneio de base do Brasil. Na ocasião foram confirmados os 32 grupos com seus quatro participantes cada e suas respectivas sedes.
Porém, um dúvida ficou no ar de todos que assistiram o evento: ‘Onde será disputada a grande final da 54ª edição da Copinha?’. O Portal Futebol Interior foi atrás dessa informação e em entrevista exclusiva com o vice-presidente de competições da FPF, Mauro Silva, foi confirmado que a entidade trabalha para que a decisão volte a ser disputada no Pacaembu, local que está passando por reformas.
“Estamos trabalhando para que a final seja no Pacaembu, esse é o nosso desejo. A empresa responsável pela reforma afirmou que nos entregará o estádio dentro do prazo e é com isso que estamos trabalhando”, disse o dirigente.
Historicamente, a Copinha abre a temporada do futebol brasileiro e tem início previsto para 2 de janeiro. A final acontece no dia 25 de janeiro, aniversário da cidade de São Paulo que, em 2024, completa 470 anos.
