Treinador do Mirassol alerta para “final” contra Novorizontino

Mirassol, SP, 26 (AFI) – Ainda sem ganhar neste início de Campeonato Paulista, o Mirassol tem pela frente um clássico regional neste domingo, contra o Novorizontino, no Maião, pela terceira rodada.

Assim como o Leão Araraquarense, o Novorizontino empatou as duas partidas que fez pelo Paulistão. Mas o técnico Mozart prega respeito ao adversário e trata o clássico deste domingo como uma “final”.

“O jogo de domingo passa a ser a primeira grande final do campeonato. Nós vamos enfrentar um adversário muito forte, que se reforçou do ano passado para esse. É um clássico regional, então envolve muito esse jogo de domingo”, destacou.

Mozart também revelou estar “engasgado” com o Novorizontino, que na Série B do Brasileiro de 2023 ganhou os dois confrontos. O último jogo, inclusive, teve polêmica envolvendo a arbitragem.

“Temos um clássico regional no domingo onde no último na Série B o jogo ainda está engasgado na nossa garganta, porque a forma que nós perdemos, são coisas que acontecem no futebol, mas pode ter certeza que está engasgado. Aquele pontinho que escapou custou caro para nós no final do ano passado, vamos descansar e nos preparar para fazer um grande jogo domingo”, finalizou.

Mirassol e Novorizontino entram em campo a partir das 19 horas domingo, no José Maria de Campos Maia.
