Salvador, BA, 05, (AFI) – Na tarde dessa terça-feira, o Vitória fechou a contratação do meio-campista Jean Mota, que estava no Inter Miami e jogou com Messi e Suarez. O jogador de 30 anos estava no clube a duas temporadas. Nessa semana, o volante Luan e o atacante Luiz Adriano também foram anunciados.
O vitória pagou uma multa de 350 mil reais para ter o jogador com antecedência e firmou contrato até o final de 2026. A negociação foi intermediada pela empresa Websoccer.
SOBRE JEAN MOTA
O jogador fez 53 jogos três gols e seis assistências na MLS. Antes disso, seu maior destaque foi no Santos, em 2019, com a equipe sendo comandada por Jorge Sampaoli, onde o clube bateu vice-campeão Brasileiro, só perdendo para o Flamengo de Jorge Jesus. Na ocasião o meia foi um dos melhores da equipe na temporada, jogando como falso 9 em algumas partidas.
Seu nível se manteve com Fernando Diniz, e com Cuca, chegando até a final da Libertadores de 2020 contra o Palmeiras. No clube da baixada Jean fez 258 jogos, marcou 20 gols e deu 26 assistências.
O jogador foi revelado pela Portuguesa, e após isso fez uma boa passagem pelo Fortaleza, onde se destacou para chegar ao Santos.
