Ponte Preta resolve dívida com jogador do São Paulo e se livra do transfer ban

Campinas, SP, 10 (AFI) – A Ponte Preta teve uma notícia importante no extracampo nesta semana. O clube conseguiu se livrar de mais um transfer ban e estará livre para inscrever jogadores a partir desta quinta-feira, quando a primeira janela de transferências se abrirá, indo até 7 de março.

A punição à Ponte Preta se deu por conta de uma dívida com o lateral-direito Igor Vinícius, atualmente no São Paulo, de cerca de R$ 270 mil. O jogador de 26 anos atuou em 2018 por empréstimo junto ao Ituano. Naquele ano, fez 33 jogos e depois se transferiu para o São Paulo. 

A Ponte Preta sofreu o transfer ban na reta final da Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro, mas como a janela estava fechada, esperou o fim da temporada para resolver a pendência. Recentemente o time campineiro já havia se livrado de algumas punições, quitando uma dívida em torno de R$ 2 milhões.

O transfer ban é uma punição administrativa, que a Fifa aplica aos clubes pelo não pagamento em transferências. Caso seja punido, o clube não pode inscrever nenhum jogador nas janelas, seja em transferências nacionais ou internacionais, até que a dívida seja quitada ou acordada.

PONTE PRETA NO PAULISTÃO

De volta à elite do Campeonato Paulista, a Ponte Preta está no Grupo B, ao lado de Guarani, Palmeiras e Água Santa. Os times do mesmo grupo, porém, não se enfrentam. A estreia será no sábado (20), às 20h15, diante do Mirassol, no Moisés Lucarelli, em Campinas (SP).
